The Coastal Museum at Hitra has the slogan “We tell the story ..” They tell stories and convey knowledge in a vivid way. The Coastal Museum’s symbol is the cormorant. This bird is one of the coast’s most distinctive and legendary creatures. In the cormorant we find nature, culture and mystique.

Tourist office at Sandstad
The Coastal Museum have two new exhibits in the new boat terminal at Sandstad – “Ægir Aquaculture Exhibition” and “People and Traffic in Trondheimsleia.”
